Beneficiaries

We empower marginalized women from suburbs of Kampala with free training in handcraft. Supervisors ensure that quality products are produced weekly and monthly payment are made to ladies per piece rate.

Expanding across Mutungo, Mbuya, Acholi quarter, Namuwongo, Kanyanya, and Kyebando, we benefit 100+ women.

Impact

Our program supports single mothers and widows, enabling them to provide for their families by affording essentials like food, housing, and education.

Additionally, we bolster Uganda's economy by creating informal sector jobs where women earn more than some formal roles like junior teachers and nurses.

Joy 4Africa Daycare Center

Joy 4Africa Daycare is a center for the children of women working with 4Africa located in Mutungo. It is sponsored by the Sommerstad family and was established in 2013 with a Nursery and daycare center, later upgraded into a pre-primary section.
